I have had a lot of fun hooking up my Whammy IV pedal to custom PureData patches over the years, but setting it up took some effort which I could rarely be bothered with.

Laziness required something that could stay on my pedalboard full-time, and so laziness required that I spend many hours building my own MIDI controller pedal. Apparently laziness also required that I do this while dealing with my first COVID infection and the gnarly headaches it induced, and I was shocked to discover that listening to a test tone going wee woo wee woo all day did not help with that at all.

Anyway, it does the job. With this little companion pedal for the Whammy, I can now make all the ridiculous wee woo sounds I ever wanted just by tapping a button. Perfect.
